Are you willing to take the risk of costly disputes and potentially losing your business overnight?

Contracts may seem simple, but the consequences of getting them wrong can be disastrous. Just look at the recent case of a small company that entered into a seemingly harmless contract to maintain and service an ink dispenser for just £3,225.06 a year. After an inspection, a fire broke out as a jubilee clip had failed, and the company was slapped with a staggering lawsuit for nearly £30 million!

Imagine if that were you. Would your business survive such a massive claim? The truth is, even low-value contracts can lead to high-value claims, and the stakes are higher than ever. Thankfully, the small company in question managed to successfully defend the claim, but it was a close call. What if they had slipped up in the contracting stage? They could have lost everything.

Don't let this nightmare become your reality. Protect your business by learning the simple steps to follow to ensure your contracts are airtight.

Our comprehensive course on contract law will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to confidently navigate the complexities of contracts and avoid costly mistakes.

Don't leave your business's future to chance - it's not difficult to get the process right, but it's all too easy to get it wrong. Invest in your business's success by signing up for our course today and safeguarding your position in the competitive world of business. Don't wait until it's too late - act now and secure your business's future

The Course

In our comprehensive contracting course, you'll learn how to identify and manage risks at every stage of the contracting process. Topics covered include:

  • The law and practice: Understanding the principles of contract law necessary for effective risk management and deal closure.
  • Pre-contract stage: Navigating pre-contract statements, negotiations, and dealing with various pre-contract documentation such as heads of terms, letters of intent, RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, estimates, quotations, order forms, acknowledgements, etc.
  • Drafting stage: Ensuring contracts are clear and understandable, dispelling the myth that contracts need to be complicated. Learn how to avoid common pitfalls highlighted by a recent survey that found 88% of business users found contracts "difficult or impossible to understand."
  • Approving and signing the contract: Understanding the critical aspects of contract approval and signing procedures to ensure a valid and enforceable written contract.
  • Managing performance of the contract: Understanding parties' obligations, deadlines, penalties for non-compliance, giving notice under the agreement, key performance terms, and dealing with non-performing parties.
  • Dealing with disputes: Learning how to navigate looming disputes with great care, understanding what actions to take and what to avoid.
  • Terminating the contract: Understanding the process and consequences of contract termination, including the ability to terminate and how to do it correctly to avoid severe repercussions.

Join our course to gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills in managing risks throughout the contracting process, ensuring successful contract management and mitigating potential legal and financial risks.
